Donabate's Inaugural Junior Parkrun

The atmosphere was electric in Newbridge House on Sunday for Donabate's very first Junior Parkrun Event. A massive thankyou and congratulations to club Members Aisling Hegarty and Karen Molony for working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this weekly event a reality. 114 children participated which greatly exceeded all expectations making the event an enormous success. Please ensure that any Little Athletics and juvenile members have LSA listed as their club on their parkrun profile to help us keep track of members participating. Looking forward to weekly Junior Parkrun updates.

Intermediate Group

Our Intermediate Group lead by Amanda, Fintan & Stephan were out in force at their Tuesday Night Training this week.

Donabate Parkrun

It was a big day for LSA at last Saturday's Parkrun. LSA had the top 4 finishing Males and the top finishing Lady. A massive well done to Anthony Sharkey, Mark Kelly, Ken Spratt, Pat Cussen and Eimear Caulfeild. LSA had 21 Participants in the Donabate parkrun, well done all and thanks to members Andrew Forde & Cathal Brady for volunteering.

Malahide Parkrun

Continuing the fantastic Parkrun results, huge congratulations to Shane O'Farrell who was first to cross the finish line in the Malahide Parkrun in an impressive PB time of 17.09!

Raheny 5 Mile

LSA was well represented at this year's Raheny 5 mile. With over 4,500 participants it was a congested start to the race but the lovely route and renowned goody bag made it all worthwhile. Well done to all the LSA members who participated.

Introducing Our Events Committee

With so many new members I thought we should put some faces to names!! Each week I hope to introduce a different group or committee so we can all get to know each other. First up is our wonderful Events Committee who work so hard to research, plan and organise social events for the club. Our Events Committee are Adrian Igoe, Sue Gore and Amy O'Neill Costigan and are supported and advised by LSA Committee Members Dara Carr and Jennifer Tanner.

This may be of interest to some members. It’s an opportunity to get a free physiological assessment, dietary analysis, feedback and training sessions at the Sports Institute in Blanchardstown. The study is aimed at males aged 18-35. They want to hear from interested participants asap and visits to the lab can take place on any day of the week that suits.
