Juvenile & Little Athletics Thursday Training
Unfortunately the icy conditions over the past 2 weeks has meant that Thursday night training has had to be cancelled. The decision to cancel training is outside the control of the club and coaches as it is the DPCC that determine whether the pitches are operational or not.
We look forward to welcoming all our Juvenile & Little Athletics members back this Thursday ... Weather permitting!!
Saturday Cross Country Training
The Saturday training session continues every Saturday at Newbridge Park open to athletes born in 2014 and older.
For the next few weeks it is aimed at preparing athletes for the middle distance events in the Dublin Indoor Championships on
🔹Sun 5th February for U15 and older (2009 - 2005)
🔹 Sat 25th February for U14 (2010) and younger
If your child would like to try this training please contact Louise Gilroy in advance as we need to know in advance how many athletes are attending to ensure we have the correct athlete/coach ratio.
Last Saturday Coach Taz gave our Saturday athletes some exciting Shot Putt training. Thanks a million Taz!
Shot Putt is the only throwing event available in the Indoor Championships. It’s a nice event to do indoors in Winter!
REMINDER: Dates for the Diary
*Parents-two closing dates for your attention please*
1️⃣ The Closing date for Under 15s (2009) and older to enter the Dublin Indoor Championships 2023 (Days 1 & 2) is next Thursday 26th January .
Entry fee is actually €5 per event-apologies for incorrect info previously.
2️⃣ The next closing date is the following week, Thurs 2nd Feb for Day 3 events which take place at the start of mid-term break, Sun 12th February.
Day 3 is for athletes 2010-2015

Track & Field Live
Congratulations to Enda Michelle and Dara who competed on Wednesday at NIA Track & Field Live.
Enda competed in the 60m, Michelle Branigan had a PB in the 800m and Dara earned a season best in the 60m. Well done all.
Advanced Intervals Group
Our Advanced Intervals group brought their training on tour, to brave the steep hills of Rogerstown Estuary on Saturday Morning. A big thanks to Paudie for the Action shots!
Donabate Parkrun
Another super LSA turn out at this weeks Donabate parkrun with 16 registered club members running including our C25k graduation runners...If you haven't put LSA on your parkrun profile as your club please do it ASAP as it is the easiest way to see how many participants we have each week. Congrats to Cathal Brady on not only a PB but also volunteering.
C25K Graduation
Huge congratulations to our newest C25k Graduates who Graduated at Saturday's Parkrun followed by coffee and scones at Jones. A massive thank you to Andrew and Jennifer for coaching, supporting and mentoring the group all the way to the finish line on Saturday and beyond. On a personal note having joined the group from week 6 I realised how invaluable the C25k group is, not just for those discovering running for the first time but also for those that want to return to running following absence or injury. Nothing motivates like the C25k group for laughs, chats, runs and support. Our next C25k group will commence shortly. Keep an eye here for further details.
Fit4Life Group
The fit4life group warmly welcomed our new C25k graduates on Monday.
6.30 @ 6.30 Group
Our 6.30@6.30 group lead by Georgean & Mícheál meet every Tuesday & Thursday to run approx. 10k at a 6.30 pace and meet on Saturday Mornings for an LSR. If anyone wants to be added to the whatsApp for this group contact Georgean or Mícheál. Check out the beautiful sunrise they took in on their LSR on Saturday...

Neon LSA jackets
"I have recently complained about the quality of the yellow jackets, we have had a few with the reflective material peeling off after only one wash. A fault with the material on ALL neon jackets has been identified and replacement jackets are currently in production.
I am happy to collect all the jackets and send back together. This includes all jackets, even the replacement jackets as the same material has been used.
I can collect at fit for life training Wednesday, 7pm at the hockey pitch on Thursday or they can be dropped to my house. If these times don’t suit then please get in touch."
DON'T FORGET....Donabate Junior Parkrun
The highly anticipated Donabate Junior Parkrun will start THIS SUNDAY 29th January 2023. The free, fun weekly 2k event suitable for juniors ages 4-14 year will take place in the stunning surrounds of Newbridge House. More details can be found HERE. Sign your child up for their barcode now so they are ready to run!!
