Thursday Training

Our Little Athletics and Juvenile Training is back in full swing every Thursday at the All-Weather Hockey Pitches. A massive Thank You to all the coaches and volunteers who makes these sessions so fun & exciting.

As our club is run by volunteers we are always on the lookout for anyone that can help... Would you like to get involved??? Can you spare an hour a week??? It's so much fun and training will be provided. Any help greatly appreciated. Contact Dara Carr for further details...

Juvenile Cross Country League

League 1 report by Dara Carr

Beautiful weather conditions in Lusk this morning for Day 1 of the juvenile cross-country leagues. The course was tricky enough with bends and uphills but our athletes took it in their stride. A big shout out to Lusk AC who hosted today's event which ran like clockwork. Thanks to Ruth for organising the athlete's registration and numbers and Dara & Sarah for warmups. Thanks to Coach Kevin Ashe who kindly volunteered to assist the Lusk AC & Dublin athletics team with marshalling. Well done all the juvenile athletes who came today and represented LSA so well at the first Cross country race of the season. For some it was their very first cross-country race, but you wouldn’t know by how confident and comfortable they all looked out there. Huge congrats from the coaching team.

Donabate Parkrun

Huge Congratulations to Dino Higgins on winning this week's Donabate parkrun in a Personal Best time of 18.34.

Well done to all our members who ran this week's parkrun and thanks to Evelyn Wilde who was this week's Run Director.

Dublin Half Marathon

Marathon training is in Full Swing with Dublin City Marathon taking Place in 1 month, 1 week & 1 Day on October 30th. LSA was well represented at the Dublin City Half Marathon at Phoenix Park. Fantastic running by all and lots of PBs on what was a tough & hilly course was.

Huge Congratulations to Willie Cahill who had a fantastic run placing second in the M70 category.

Wishing a very speedy recovery to Paudie Byrne who took a tumble during the race and unfortunately ended up as first man to be treated at the medical tent! No doubt Paudie is already back out training for the main event on October 30th!!

Suzanne's 5 Charity Marathons
