ADULT SECTION

Park Run

LSA were out in force at this week's Donabate Parkrun! Well Done to everyone that participated, this week,s results can be found here

First to cross the Finish Line was none other than Catherina McKiernan, our own Pat Cussen stepping aside to let her bet him to the finish line. A true gent. It is hotly rumoured that Catherina loved the course so much and was so impressed by our club members that she is considering joining...it may be just a rumour but will keep you posted😂

As always a huge thank you to all the parkrun volunteers from the club, without them there would be no parkrun. Thanks to Ali Conway, Sarah Roux, Edel Lyons, Helen Roche, Willie Cahill and Paddy Phillips who all volunteered this week.

Also, a huge well done to James who kept his mum Ceire on her toes while completing his first ever parkrun!!

Termonfeckin Half Marathon

Congratulations to Anthony Sharkey who competed the Termonfeckin half marathon in an impressive 1:19:56!

Fingal 10k

There was a sea of LSA tops at today's very hot 10k in Swords as part of the Irish Life Dublin Race Series. Some members were running this as part of the Marathon Race Series as they train for this year's Dublin City Marathon, some were running it to beat their own PB and some of our recent C25k graduates were running it as their first ever 10k race. Whatever the motivation was to run it, a huge congratulations to everyone that took part. Well Done to Fintan Counihan who was the first LSA Member to cross the Finish line.

LSA Merchandise

There have been a number of queries relating to all the lovely running gear being worn by our members. We currently have two different suppliers of this. Firstly Malley Teamwear Specialists have a selection of LSA training gear including vests, t-shirts, full zip jackets, full length and capri leggings and shorts. These are available in both male and female and children's fit. The company advise on the site that their clothing is slim fit and suggest ordering a size or two up. This shop is currently open for orders until July 25th and the link to the site can be found here
Here is some of the Malley LSA gear currently available kindly modelled by some club members...

The other supplier has just delivered the first batch of club merchandise and this includes Club jackets, gilets, fluorescent rain jackets and a qtr. zip hoodie. This shop is currently closed but will reopen for orders at the end of the summer.

Here is some of the RW gear kindly modelled by club members...

Separate to these two suppliers, some lighter material club vests have been kindly sourced by Ken. These will be very popular for long runs or hot weather. The vests will be in the club colours. Anyone who hasn't already placed an order but would like to buy a lightweight vest should contact Ali Conway by tomorrow 18th July as order is being placed.

LSA on Tour

Finally....

A message from Enda Gavigan:

“Last call out for our womens Track & Field team.
Round 2 of the National League takes place in Athlone on Sunday 31st July.
We had a strong performance from our ladies team in Round 1 of the National League back in May. We currently lie in 8th place out of 9.
8 teams go through to the Division 1 final. We intend to push to achieve this.
We will put out the strongest team available in order to achieve this!
If you don’t make the actual selected team you can still be a guest entrant on the day, take part and share in the excitement and experience.
So if you are available to travel to Athlone on Sunday 31st July please DM Enda (0862446973) with your name and we will add you to the league group.
