JUVENILE SECTION

LAST DAY OF TRAINING FOR THE SUMMER ON THURSDAY 9th JUNE AT PIPERS GREEN

Summer fun for all our juvenile groups for the last day of training before the summer break. It was a hive of activity on Pipers Green with the sun out and lots of smiles and ice cream. A big thanks to all the coaches and volunteers involved. Have a great summer everyone. Why don't you try out the Junior Parkrun in Malahide, Rush or Holywell and send us a picture for the newsletter during the summer.

DUBLIN CHAMPIONSHIPS DAY 2, 3 & 4

DAY 2 - Friday 10th June 2022

A big congrats to the athletes who took part last Friday on Day 2 of the Dublin Championships. It was a Gold medal for Eabha O'Farrell in the U16 Hammer. Dargan and Devin Bates competed in the u10 500 meters at the Dublin Championships on Friday evening. While Eabha was busy in the hammer cage winning the under 16 competition both athletes from our recently formed Little athletics group took on the 500m middle distance race. It was Tyler’s first competition which he ran with great determination. Devin now a seasoned athlete after his entries at the indoors championships. Recovering really well from a little crowding at the start of the race he ran really consistently and strong to finish sixth in his heat . Well done to both lads.

Day 3 - Saturday 11th June 2022

Great morning of athletics in Santry Stadium. Well done to Jacob, Reuben, Rebecca, Lucy and Isaac in the Discus, 80m and Long jump

Day 4 of the Dublin Championships - 12th June 2022

Busy day today with the Shot Putt, Javelin and Sprints. Well done to all the athletes involved and congrats to Eliza Hussain who won a bronze medal in the shot putt. "Tough conditions in Santry this weekend. Well done everyone - really delighted that you are representing the club this weekend. Thanks to the athletes, parents and coaches", Dara Carr - Chairperson. ADULT SECTION

DONABATE PARKRUN - 11th JUNE 2022

Well done to the LSA members who ran in the parkrun yesterday. The sun was out and the coffee brewing as athletes ran in the 260th Donabate Parkrun. Adam Lauri was the first man home for the club with a PB of 21.51. The Couch to 5k group finished their 7th week by walking the first 5 minutes and running the rest. We had 5 PB's in this group from Sinead O'Boyle, Beatriz Diez Solana, Jennifer Hayes, Niamh Ní Ghrifin and Claire McSweeney. Congrats guys. Thanks to Pat McCormack who ran as a Pacer and to all our other volunteers.

Couch to 5k group after finishing their 7th week of training

IRISH RUNNER 5 MILE IN THE PHOENIX PARK SUNDAY 12th JUNE 2022

First home for the club was Richie Corcoran in a time of 37.32 followed by Nicola Rooney and Mark Redmond. A PB for Ian Tiernan also of 44.19. For full results click here Well done all!
