Welcome to our newest members from St Pats under 12 boys team.
Congratulations to LSAs newest members from St. Pat's U10 boys' team who travelled over to the National Indoor Arena to compete in the 4x200m relays last week. There was great anticipation, some nerves and even a little trepidation but they went out and ran really well for their first time in a relay event. Wonderful to watch well done! Coaches Sophie & Fiachra have included Athletic Development as part of the team's winter training program. The squad are already looking forward to their next athletic event!
Athletics Ireland has a new multi event competition for children. We are hoping to get involved in this with other Dublin clubs in 2023. Have a look at the video for more information. If you would like to get involved, please contact Dara or your child’s coach.
Jingle Bell 5k
LSA was well represented at the Jingle Bell 5k on Saturday 3rd December in Phoenix Park with 15 members running. Fantastic running by all! Special shout out to Anthony Sharkey who was the first LSA member to cross the finish line in 16.10 and to juvenile Mark Kelly who came in, in an inspiring 19.23.
Another fantastic Parkrun for LSA last weekend. 10 members ran with first male & first female crowns going to LSA members! Huge congratulations to Fintan Counihan who was first male to cross the finish line in 18:36 and Eimear Caulfield who was first female in 20:02. Huge thanks to both Cathal Brady & Willie Cahill for volunteering as without volunteers parkrun cannot happen.
